The Eye of Ra (right eye, aka Eye of Re/Rah; where the left eye is known as the Eye of Horus) is an ancient Egyptian symbol used to represent the goddess (the female counterpart to the sun god, Ra). The Eye was considered to be a violent force that can subdue & control its enemies, as well as being a protective talisman. Being an extension of Ra, it also can be associated with a variety of Egyptian goddesses: Mut, Bastet, Hathor, Wadjet & Sekhmet
